Houses sales increased by 37.7% in January-May 2022
In January-May period, house sales increased by 37.7% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 575 thousand 889.
Mortgaged house sales became 29 thousand 335
In Türkiye, mortgaged house sales increased by 177.8% in May compared to the same month of the previous year and became 29 thousand 335. Mortgaged house sales had 23.9% share of all house sales. In January-May period, mortgaged house sales increased by 72.3% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 129 thousand 707.
6 thousand 161 of mortgaged house sales in May and 31 thousand 885 of mortgaged house sales in January-May period were first hand sales.
Other house sales became 93 thousand 443
In Türkiye, other house sales increased by 92.2% in May compared to the same month of the previous year and became 93 thousand 443. Other house sales had 76.1% share of all house sales. In January-May period, other house sales increased by 30.2% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 446 thousand 182.
32 thousand 861 houses were sold for the first time
In Türkiye, first time house sales increased by 80.5% in May compared to the same month of the previous year and became 32 thousand 861. First time sales had 26.8% share of all house sales in Türkiye. In January-May period, first time house sales increased by 28.1% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 163 thousand 719.
Second hand house sales became 89 thousand 907
In Türkiye, second hand house sales increased by 119.5% in May compared to the same month of the previous year and became 89 thousand 907. Second hand sales had 73.2% share of all house sales in Türkiye. In January-May period, second hand house sales increased by 42.0% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 412 thousand 170.
In May, 5 thousand 962 houses were sold to foreigners
In January-May period, house sales to foreigners increased by 70.0% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 26 thousand 753.
