House Sales Statistics, July 2022 93 thousand 902 houses were sold in Türkiye
In Türkiye, house sales decreased by 12.9% in July compared to the same month of the previous year and became 93 thousand 902. İstanbul had the highest share with 15.3% and 14 thousand 350 house sales. The followers of İstanbul were Ankara with 7 thousand 417 house sales and İzmir with 4 thousand 868 house sales with the share of 7.9% and 5.2% respectively. The provinces with the lowest number of sales were Hakkari and Ardahan with 31, Şırnak with 49 house sales.

Houses sales increased by 24.2% in January-July 2022
In January-July period, house sales increased by 24.2% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 820 thousand 300.
Mortgaged house sales became 19 thousand 146
In Türkiye, mortgaged house sales decreased by 6.8% in July compared to the same month of the previous year and became 19 thousand 146. Mortgaged house sales had 20.4% share of all house sales. In January-July period, mortgaged house sales increased by 51.9% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 189 thousand 463.
5 thousand 580 of mortgaged house sales in July and 48 thousand 694 of mortgaged house sales in January-July period were first hand sales.
Other house sales became 74 thousand 756
In Türkiye, other house sales decreased by 14.3% in July compared to the same month of the previous year and became 74 thousand 756. Other house sales had 79.6% share of all house sales. In January-July period, other house sales increased by 17.7% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 630 thousand 837.
28 thousand 688 houses were sold for the first time
In Türkiye, first time house sales decreased by 12.2% in July compared to the same month of the previous year and became 28 thousand 688. First time sales had 30.6% share of all house sales in Türkiye. In January-July period, first time house sales increased by 18.2% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 237 thousand 139.
Second hand house sales became 65 thousand 214
In Türkiye, second hand house sales decreased by 13.2% in July compared to the same month of the previous year and became 65 thousand 214. Second hand sales had 69.4% share of all house sales in Türkiye. In January-July period, second hand house sales increased by 26.8% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 583 thousand 161.
In July, 3 thousand 939 houses were sold to foreigners
In January-July period, house sales to foreigners increased by 57.4% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 39 thousand 322.
House sales were mostly made to Russia citizens according to nationalities
In July, Russia citizens bought a thousand 28 houses from Türkiye. The followers of Russia citizens were Iran citizens with
431 house sales and Iraq citizens with 380 house sales.
